Today marks the first waning moon after the first quarter, making it an ideal time for banishing rituals.

This cosmic alignment presents a perfect opportunity to communicate with our subconscious and shed what no longer serves us.

Rituals are powerful ceremonies that infuse the physical world with the subconscious seeds of creation.

By performing rituals, we can create new patterns of emotion, thought, and reason, ultimately shaping our reality.

These patterns can be especially transformative during the waning moon phase, which started today.

Habits often operate beyond our conscious will, acting on autopilot once they’re developed.

However, by harnessing the energy of the waning moon and aligning with the celestial, we can use this energy to consciously change our habits and replace them with new, empowering patterns.

One effective way to do this is through ritual repetition, where we invoke new patterns by banishing and burning representations of what we no longer want, while embracing and programming our environment with what we desire.

For me, this repetition is often accompanied by music, such as my acoustic rendition of Alice in Chains’ “Don’t Follow”

“hey, I ain’t never coming home

hey, I’ll just wander my own road

hey, I can’t meet you here tomorrow”

To create a powerful ritual, incorporate sensory elements like sound, image, meditation, candles, and incense.

This waning offers a chance to repattern the old, create space for the new, and focus on healing and deliberate creation.

Here’s a simple ritual to try:

  • Draw a representation of what you want to disappear
  • Burn it under the waning moon
  • Repeat an affirmation, such as:

“My soul is free, great I be, as the moon wanes so do the malefic entities that plague me, by divine rite they are now replaced with health, wealth, and harmony”

By tapping into the energy of the waning moon and using rituals to communicate with our subconscious, we can break free from limiting patterns and replace it it what is desired.
